ALONE the brand new album by Pretenders is OUT NOW!!

Chrissie Hynde is celebrating her 65th birthday today, and she’s announce the first Pretenders album since 2008’s Break Up the Concrete. 
The album, the band’s 10th, was recorded with the Black Keys‘ Dan Auerbach at his Nashville studio. In a press release announcing the album, Hynde says the record was made by “real people playing real instruments.”

The new record, which was hinted at last year, marks the first activity by the Pretenders in almost a decade. But Hynde has stayed busy during the period, releasing her first solo record, Stockholm, in 2014, and publishing an autobiography, Reckless: My Life as a Pretender, last year. She also collaborated with singer-songwriter JP Jones as JP, Chrissie & the Fairground Boys on 2010’s Fidelity album.


The Pretenders also announce a new tour with Stevie Nicks, which will kick off in Phoenix four days after the album’s release. You can see the list of tour dates below.
